Carson Peterson; Business Development

Carson Peterson manages new business development for Design Compendium and joins the company in hopes of helping expand the portfolio of clients and design services.

Carson believes strongly in Social/Community capital; the value of human relations and preservation and betterment of the environment in which we all must share.  He joins the Design Compendium family knowing that they too share this value – expressing it in both the integrity they bring to the design process and in the way in which they build relationships – and the best partnerships are built on a foundation of common beliefs.

Prior to Design Compendium, Carson was an independent consultant, focusing primarily on financial management and the preparation of financial forecasts and business plans for a wide array of small organizations.  He also served as controller and lead financial officer for a development stage alternative energy company where he helped direct the firm in raising private capital.

Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, he worked for one of the largest retail firms in the world performing financial analysis and reporting.  Additionally, Carson spent several years in tax preparation with a national scientific non-profit organization managing the company’s portfolio of real and personal property assets.

When not working with his Design Compendium family, Carson is an avid long-distance runner, competing year round in races ranging from 5k to the Marathon.

Carson studied toward an M.B.A. at The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH), and holds a B.S. degree in Public Accounting and Economics from Fordham University (NYC).
