Jackie Guido; Senior Designer, Studio Manager
As a Designer and project manager for Design Compendium Jackie has worked on a wide array of projects including retail store windows, interiors, props, showroom design, and sculptural design and installation. During her 2+ years at DC Jackie has grown from an assistant into her current role as Designer and Project Manager. She now manages production and design for large-scale clients like GUCCI, Cole Haan and Nine West. She likes the challenge of meeting high-end retail’s standards of quality, and devising original design concepts for established brands.
The aspect of Jackie’s work at DC that she enjoys most is visiting vendors and learning about production processes and materials. Vendors continually provide resources that can assist with Design Compendium’s ability to uniquely address clients’ creative and budgetary needs, and they can also provide inspiration for creativity in the design process.
Jackie is a Rhode Island School of Design graduate with a BFA in Industrial Design. During her education at RISD, she received several merit-based awards including the Ken Hunnibell Prize, the IDSA student Merit Award Nominee, the RISD Scholarship for all four years of attendance, the ITEM Entrepreneurial Scholarship, and the Industrial Design Merit Scholarship.
In her spare time, Jackie actively maintains a painting studio where she works in oils and drawing media to explore 2-dimensional representations of light, narrative, and urban city-scapes.
