Jared Lairmore joins Design Compendium as a full-time Associate Partner, driving the company’s overall design vision in architecture and interior architecture.  Jared has been a member of the Design Compendium family for over six years, holding various full-time and contract design roles with the company.  His time at Design Compendium has involved all aspects of the company, including new business development, complete design services, project coordination, and project implementation.

Jared hales from Columbus, Ohio and holds a Bachelors of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute (NYC) and a Masters of Architecture from The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH).

While a graduate student at Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture, Jared served as a project lead for the University’s entry in the US Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon Competition.  Jared helped lead the design, coordination, and construction of the fully sustainable “Solar House 1”.  The competition gathered 20 teams from around the world in an effort to demonstrate how advanced design practices, cutting edge solar energy generation, and most importantly, how a healthy, energy conscious lifestyle are the future.  His work garnered numerous accolades, and ultimately helped influence his vision for socially conscious, design centric building solutions.

His outside the box thinking has landed him numerous independent design positions. Recently, Jared has worked as a lead designer in experiential marketing promotions for such firms as Red Bull, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey (LVMH), Starwood Hotels, and Cingular.  Furthermore, his work with companies such as Outside the Box Interactive, Hixon Designs and 40 Design Group has helped expand his arsenal of talents to include technology, graphic design, and business operations.

Jared has been singled out for his superior design work and been exhibited in “From Palazzo to Piazza: Celebrating the addition to the Columbus Museum of Art”, “DDI” and “Women’s Wear Daily” both of which The Theory Boutique Macy’s featured.  He was also the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship & Pratt Grant from Pratt Institute 2000-04 and was a part of the Ohio Governor’s Show as a Finalist.

Jared is proud to become Associate Partner with Design Compendium, becoming part of a long-standing, 20 year design history, while helping bring a new vision for the future.
